ગોવિંદ દામોદર સ્તુતિ

કરારવિન્દેન પદારવિન્દં મુખારવિન્દે વિનિવેશયન્તમ ।
વટસ્ય પત્રસ્ય પુટે શયાનં બાલં મુકુન્દં મનસા સ્મરામિ ।।૧||

શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ગોવિંદ હરે મુરારે હે નાથ નારાયણ વાસુદેવ ।
જીહવે પિબસ્વામૃતમેતદેવ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૨||

વિક્રેતુકામાકિલગોપકન્યા મુરારિપાદાર્પિતચિત્તવૃત્તિ: ।
દધ્યાદિકં મોહવશાદવોચદ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૩||

ગૃહે ગૃહે ગોપવધુ કદમ્બા: સર્વે મિલિત્વા સમવાપ્ય યોગમ ।
પુણ્યાનિ નામાનિ પઠન્તિ નિત્યં ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૪||

સુખં શયાના નિલયે નિજેપિ નામાનિ વિષ્ણો: પ્રવદંતિ મર્ત્યા:
તે નીશ્ચિતં તન્મયતાં વ્રજંતિ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૫||

જીહવે સદૈવં ભજ સુંદરાણિ નામાનિ કૃષ્ણસ્ય મનોહરાણિ ।
સમસ્ત ભક્તાર્તિ વિનાશનાનિ  ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૬||

સુખાવસાને ઇદમેવ સારં દુઃખા વસાને ઇદમેવ જ્ઞેયમ ।
દેહાવસાને ઇદમેવ જાપ્યં ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૭||

શ્રીકૃષ્ણ રાધાવર ગોકુલેશ ગોપાલ ગોવર્ધનનાથ વિષ્ણો ।
જીહવે પિબસ્વામૃતમેતદેવ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૮||

જિહવે રસજ્ઞે મધુરપ્રિયા ત્વં સત્યં હિતં ત્વાં પરમં વદામિ ।
આવર્ણયેથા મધુરાક્ષરાણિ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૯||

ત્વામેવ યાચે મમ દેહિ જિહવે સમાગતે દણ્ડધરે કૃતાન્તે ।
વક્તવ્યમેવં મધુરં સુભક્ત્યા ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૧૦||

શ્રીનાથ વિશ્વેશ્વર વિશ્વમૂર્તે શ્રીદેવકીનન્દન દૈત્યશત્રો ।
જીહવે પિબસ્વામૃતમેતદેવ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૧૧||

ગોપીપતે કંસરિપો મુકુન્દ લક્ષ્મીપતે કેશવ વાસુદેવ ।
જીહવે પિબસ્વામૃતમેતદેવ ગોવિંદ દામોદર માધવેતિ ।।૧૨||

English Verse

Kararvinden padarvindam mukharvinde viniveshyantam |

Vatasy patrasy pute shayanam, balam mukundam mansa smrami ||1||

Shree krushn govind hare murare, he nath narayan vasudev |

Jihve pibasvamrutmetdev, govind damodar madhaveti ||2||

Vikretukamakilgopkanya,muraripadarpit chittvruttih |

Dadhyadhikam mohvashadvochad, govind damodar madhaveti ||3||

Gruhe gruhe gopvadhukadamba sarve militva samvapya yogam |

Punyani namani pathanti nityam, govind damodar madhaveti ||4||

Sukham shyanam nilayenijepi namanivishnoh pravadanti martyah |

Te nischitam tanmaytam vrajanti, govind damodar madhaveti ||5||

Jihve sadaivam bhaj sundarani namani krushnasy manoharani |

Samast bhaktarti vinashnani govind damodar madhaveti ||6||

Sukhavsane idmev saram dukhavsane idmev gyeyam |

Dehavsane idmev japyam govind damodar madhaveti||7||

Shree krushnaradhavar gokulesh gopal govardhan nath vishno |

Jihve rasagye madhurpriya tvam satyam hitam tvaam parmam vadami |

Aavarnayetha madhurakshrani govind damodar madhaveti ||9||

Tvamev yache mum dehi jihve samagate dand dhare krutante |

Vaktavyamevam madhuram subhaktya govind damodar madhaveti ||10||

Shreenath vishveshvar vishvamurte shreedevakinandan daityshatro |

Gopipate kansripo mukund laxmipate keshav vasudev |

English Translation

1. I remember the infant Mukunda, Who sleeps inside a hollow Banyan leaf and Who by His lotus-hands, is putting His lotus-feet in His lotus-mouth.
2. “Shri Krishna! Govinda! Hari! Murari! O Lord, Narayana, Vasudeva!” O tongue, please drink only this nectar–”Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!”
3. Though desiring to sell milk, dahi, butter, etc., the mind of a young gopi was so absorbed in the lotus feet of Krishna that instead of calling out “Milk for sale,” she bewilderedly said, “Govinda!”, Damodara!”, and “Madhava!”
4. In house after house, groups of cowherd ladies gather on various occasions, and together they always chant the transcendental names of Krishna–”Govinda, Damodara, and Madhava.”
5. Even the ordinary mortals comfortably seated at home who chant the names of Vishnu, “Govinda, Damodara,” and “Madhava,” certainly attain (at least) the liberation of having a form similar to that of the Lord.
6. O my tongue, just always worship these beautiful, enchanting names of Krishna, “Govinda, Damodara,” and “Madhava,” which destroy all the obstacles of the devotees.
7. This indeed is the essence (found) upon ceasing the affairs of mundane happiness. And this too is to be sung after the cessation of all sufferings. This alone is to be chanted at the time of death of one’s material body” Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!”
8. O tongue, drink only this nectar (of the names), “Shri Krishna, dearmost of Shrimati Radharani, Lord of Gokula, Gopala, Lord of Govardhana, Vishnu, Govinda, Damodara,” and “Madhava.”
9. O my tongue, you are fond of sweet things and are of discriminating taste; I tell you the highest truth, which is also the most beneficial. Please just recite these sweet syllables: “Govinda,” “Damodara,” and “Madhava.”
10. O my tongue, I ask only this of you, that at my meeting the bearer of the sceptre of chastisement (Yamaraja), you will utter this sweet phrase with great devotion: “Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!”
11. “Shrinatha, Lord of the universe, form of the universe, beautiful son of Devaki, O enemy of the demons, Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!” O my tongue, just drink this nectar.
12. “Lord of the gopis, enemy of Kamsa, Mukunda, husband of Lakshmidevi, Keshava, son of Vasudeva, Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!” O my tongue, just drink this nectar.
